A Missed Opportunity to Be a Great Patient

This is a slight adaptation of a post I recently made on my personal blog.

I've worked in healthcare technology for the bulk of my adult life; over a decade, in fact. However, I am not a clinically trained person. I can hold my own at dinner parties (I make a fantastic +1), can get through a demo with most doctors and hospital executives, but do not have any clinical training. I somehow manage to get through the bulk of my days knowing what I know.

In control of our health...even on the road.

Early last month, we took a road trip to New York to help my younger sister move her life and belongings to Baltimore.  Like any other family road trip, it was filled with me requesting to listen to the same few songs over and over again, Andrew somehow being able to tune my mostly off-key voice out enough to do the driving part, too much caffeine across the board, and a trip to urgent care.
