In an increasingly digital world, patients are becoming more tech- and mobile-savvy in the way they search for and experience healthcare. But far too many physicians are not taking advantage of the mobile revolution, or using medical apps or other mobile health technology to enhance their care delivery outside the point of care.

It’s a disconnect that needs to change as healthcare providers who don’t engage with mobile technology risk being compared to taxicabs in the world of Uber. Further, as the industry continues the volume-to-value revolution, patients—especially those with chronic or complex conditions—will require communication outside the practice walls.
