Track Your Measurements

CareSync is committed to connecting people and data for a better healthcare experience.  That includes your medical records and all the things you do between visits!  Tracking measurements is essential to understand your weight management, diabetes, hypertension, and other conditions--and to make sure you and those you care for have the best possible information to share at your visits.

Web_Pain_All these measurements are available on the web and iOS.  Here's a quick web video overview.  If you're using mobile, check out this video.

Measurements is a project we're committed to for the long run.  We've started with basic vitals (Weight, Glucose, Blood Pressure), Journal (with mood!) and a Pain Scale, and you'll see Fitness, Labs, & Immunizations in upcoming releases, along with the ability to compare values. The most exciting part is that we're connecting with all your devices & wearables--just connect the app and we'll import the data.

Don't have a connected device?  Just go to your local grocery or drugstore and use the Higi machine...CareSync can take your data from the Higi app for you (instructions below).

Encourage family members to track how they're feeling--so you can be in the know, and you can take this valuable information to the next doctor visit.

Don't have CareSync Plus?  We'll get all of your old visits, create a summary of each one, and even make your new visits for you!

Connect Your Devices & Apps

A few quick steps and you'll have all your health data in one place!  If you're using a device that transmits data back to an app (like the Withings Blood Pressure cuff and Withings App), CareSync will get the data from the app for you automagically.

View video instructions for the web here, or click here for mobile instructions.
  1. Go to Health Profile, then Measurements.
  2. Select a Measurement,, such as Blood Pressure.
  3. Click Connect App.
  4. Choose the app you want to connect, such as Fitbit, then Connect to continue.
  5. Enter your login information for the device's application.  Each app has its own process for connecting.  In the Fitbit example here, you'd enter your email and password, then click Allow.
  6. Wait for the app to send your data to CareSync!  Some apps take longer than others, but you'll get a notification when the import is complete.

Get Your Data

Journal

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements, and Journal.
  • Manually enter values here--no devices to connect or settings to edit.
  • Enter a value from 1 (awful!) to 10 (awesome!), and any notes.
  • Choose your Mood--it's great to understand over time how your life is affected by your health.
  • Notes are invaluable here, especially when you want to share the information with your provider later.
  • Soon, you'll be able to relate a Health Condition, add photos, share how you're feeling, and more!MeasureBP

Pain Scale

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements, and Pain.
  • Manually enter values here--no devices to connect or settings to edit.
  • Enter a value from 0 (no pain!) to 10 (unbearable!), and any notes.
  • Notes are invaluable here, especially when you want to share the information with your provider later.
  • Choose the Health Condition (such as migraine) that relates to your pain, so you can track & filter separate health issues.

Weight

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements.
  • Manually enter data or import it from a connected app.
  • Want to keep your values private?  Go to Weight, then Settings, and make sure Share With Caregivers is not selected.  We've defaulted it to the most private setting, so you'll need to select the option if you want to share with anyone who can view your measurements.
  • Notes are great here, especially when you're sharing with your Care Team.
  • Want to see your BMI?  Select any value in the List, and the BMI will display.

Height

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements.
  • Manually enter data or import it from a connected app.  Why would you import Height?  Maybe you've already entered it in a fitness app, so it will come over automatically.
  • Some apps record height in centimeters and convert, so you may see a very slight change in the value due to the second conversion back to feet and inches.

Blood Pressure

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements.
  • Manually enter data or import it from a connected app.
  • Enter the Systolic and Diastolic values, and any notes related, such as whether you were sitting or lying down, or if you were at the doctor's office or at home.

Heart Rate

  • Choose Track Measurements from My Day, or go to Health Profile, then Measurements.
  • Manually enter data or import it from a connected app.
  • Most blood pressure apps also record heart rate, so if you've connected a blood pressure device app, you'll get the heart rate as well.

Glucose

  • Manually enter data or import it from a connected app.
  • Make sure you select Fasting or Non-fasting.
  • Notes here are helpful to pinpoint trouble items.

View Your Data

Web_BP_Graph

Graph:  Access the graph view from Measurements.  Choose the time period you want to view.  There are default buttons for Week, Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, and Year.  If you'd like to view a different time range, click on the calendar above and enter the dates.

List:  Access the list of values from the Measurement List.  Simply go to Health Profile, then Measurements, and choose a Measurement.  You can view all your data, notes, and comments (coming soon) here.

Coming Soon:  Compare your data for different Measurements & Medications on a graph.  Include your Measurement graph on your Timeline report to share it with your doctor.  Comments from your Care Team will give you feedback and an awesome way to communicate inside the application.

View & Share Your Data--New!

Health Summary.  Just like your medications, the last 30 days of all measurements are shared on the Health Summary report, along with high/low values.

Individual Measurements.  While inside a single measurement, such as Blood Pressure, share your data just like you would in another section of the application:

  • Select a date range
  • Choose whether you want to include your notes (inside individual measurements) or not
  • Send via fax to your provider on any device, or print from web

Troubleshooting

Need to Delete A Value.  Sometimes a value needs to go.  Simply go to the List view, highlight the questionable measurement, and select Remove at the bottom of the detail.

Graphs Aren't Showing.  Do you have data for the time selection?  On the Health Profile/Measurements page, any data for the last seven days is displayed.  If you have data, but not this week, click on Graph to view a larger range for your measurement.

Already Recorded.  Only one measurement can be recorded (and graphed) per minute, so you could get a message that a value has already been recorded for this date & time.  Just wait a few seconds and enter again if you have another to enter.

Values Are Slightly Off.  Are your measurement numbers ever so slightly off?  Some device companies store data in metrics, so it's possible you may see a very slight offset.  In weight, for example, your scale could read 129.3 on the scale, but the import value in CareSync could be 129.1.

Removing a Connection.  Bringing in your Blood Pressure and Weight from the same device/app?  If you remove one connection, the other will be removed as well.  They're connected at the hip for now, but we're looking forward to helping them find their independence in a coming release.

Platforms Available:  All the measurements described are available on the Web and iOS now, and they are coming soon to Android. Android users can still print measurements from the Health Summary if they were captured using other devices or the CareSync Plus service.

Need Help?  Remember CareSync Plus Specialists not only get the medical records, they create concise summaries of every visit, and enter all the data.  And they'll make your appointments for you, too!
